Samantha has over six years experience solving complex problems in the humanitarian space with the World Food Programme, where she has worked most extensively in systems strengthening for large NGOs and national cash transfer programs. She has worked closely in balancing priorities between large public and private sector partners and small-scale, low-income groups. She is a strong advocate of the application of tech-based solutions for improving the socio economic conditions of lower income segments of the population. Samantha is a self-professed data nerd and has extensive experience working with large data sets to understand and map patterns at a granular level.

Samantha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Wellesley College. She is currently concluding her thesis which conducts a cross-sectional analysis of the drivers and barriers to financial inclusion across six sub-Saharan African countries.
